Hi! I’m Kia, and I love collaborating and journeying alongside teachers!

I am an award-recipient world language teacher, consultant, keynote, and a certified coach/ mentor here to support you in the classroom! I carry twenty years of experience in the classroom, and have taught Spanish for all grade levels K-12. I currently teach Spanish to students in high school. 

 Previously, I had an additional role as an Equity & Belonging Resource to support the teaching staff and students in my former school community. I am also very excited to continue my work with ACTFL, serving on the Teacher Recruitment & Retention Committee, and the DEI Committee!

I want to take a second to highlight one of our amazing resources, which is our Belonging Lab! 

The Belonging Lab is a professional learning and curriculum membership for world language and multilingual educators who want to center belonging, equity, and intercultural competence—without doing it all alone.

This is not just about what you teach. It’s about how you teach, who you center, and the impact you create.
